SURPRISE, AZ – An investigation is underway in several Valley cities after police say thieves stole golf clubs at local courses.
Golfers at the Sun City Grand community in Surprise are among the most recent victims.
Surprise police say at least 10 golf club thefts have been reported since mid-December.
“Nearly all the reported thefts occurred while the victims left their golf carts unattended for extended periods of time,” said Sgt. Norman Owens.
Surprise police say other Valley agencies have also reported similar cases.
“Our criminal investigators have been in contact with both Scottsdale and Phoenix police departments in reference to similar cases,” Owens
