PHOENIX – A bizarre story out of west Phoenix, when crews on the scene of an early morning house fire become victims themselves after some crucial emergency equipment is stolen.
“About 4 this morning, I heard a pop, crack in the back of the house,” said homeowner Edward Huth.
Flames were shooting out of his attic, and smoke filled the home, but Huth and his family couldn’t escape because the key to the security door was nowhere to be found.
“Some gentleman come and bang on the door said, ‘Get out. Get out. You’re on fire,’” Huth said.
